Tim Sweeney/DFA RECORDS

Sshadoworkss brought out New York based DJ ,Tim Sweeney from the legendary, DFA records Sshadowworkss asked us to come up with decor ideas for the event, give aways on the night and a way for the event sponsor Sportscene to have a presence in the venue.

We came up with a "3 in 1" idea that really worked.
Step 1:
We got KNOLC to make us a "Tim Sweeney" doll with three different outfits
"Super Sweeney" "Bling Sweeney" and "Normal Sweeney" were born.
Step 2:
We set out with Photographer Jonx Pillemer to capture the Sweeney characters in all kinds of typical Cape Town situations.
The result : 100 awesome photos.
Step 3:
We went junk shopping and got hold of 100 really nice old frames .
We added the Sportscene logo as a signature to each image. We printed and framed all the photos and hang them with prestic (so ppl could take them home) randomly all over the venue making it look like an exhibition.
Step4:
We built a "pop up book" style set to display the original toy at the entrance of the venue.
Included in the installation was a little animation loop playing on old TV's of the pictures with sShadowworkss and Sportscene logos Video by Ari Kruger.

As planned every last picture frame was ripped off the wall and taken home.
What a cool party, thanks to Sshadowworkss for bringing out such quality acts.
